Typebeat turns a song into a lyric video. To do that it has to hold your audio, your lyrics and the video it produces. This page says exactly what is stored, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it.
1. What we collect
Account information
When you sign in we store your email address, and the display name and profile picture your sign-in provider gives us. We never see or store a password — authentication is handled by the provider you sign in with.
What you upload and create
- Audio you upload, kept so you can keep editing the project and so it can be muxed into the exported video.
- Images and video you upload for use as backgrounds.
- Lyrics — whatever you type, paste, import or have detected, together with the timing of each word.
- Project settings: title, aspect ratio, text style, the section of the track you selected, and the background cut sequence.
- Videos you export, kept so you can download them again.
Technical information
Our servers keep ordinary web logs — IP address, browser user agent, and which pages and API routes were requested — for security and debugging.
What we do not collect
Typebeat runs no analytics, advertising or tracking software. There are no third-party trackers, no advertising pixels and no cross-site profiling. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
2. Cookies
One cookie, holding your sign-in session, which expires after 30 days. It is strictly necessary: without it you cannot stay signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
3. Who else sees your data
Typebeat depends on the services below. Each receives only what it needs for the job named.

The most significant of these is ElevenLabs: pressing Detect uploads your audio to a third party for processing. If you would rather that never happened, use Paste lyrics or Find lyrics instead — neither sends your audio anywhere.
The AI features - Fix words, Translate and Match the mood - send the text of your lyrics to Anthropic, never your audio, and only when you press one of those buttons. Anthropic does not train on it. They are off entirely unless this deployment is configured with a key.
4. Connecting other accounts
If a future version of Typebeat lets you connect a social account — for example to publish a finished video directly — then, once you authorise it, we would receive only the permissions you grant at that moment, use them solely to perform the action you asked for, and never post anything without you initiating it. You can disconnect at any time, both here and in that platform’s own settings, and disconnecting deletes the access token we hold.
5. How long it is kept
- Projects, uploads and exports: until you delete them. Deleting a project removes its audio, its uploaded backgrounds and its lyrics.
- Your account: until you ask us to delete it, which removes everything above.
- Exported videos: removed automatically 30 days after they were made. The project keeps everything needed to export it again.
- Saved versions of a project: the last 40, so you can put a project back how it was. They hold settings and lyrics, never copies of your files, and go when the project does.
- Error reports: when something breaks, the error message, where in the code it happened and which page you were on are kept for 30 days so it can be fixed. They can name your account but hold nothing you uploaded.
- Server logs: a short rolling window, then discarded.
6. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. If you are in the UK, the EU or a US state with its own privacy law, those requests are rights you are entitled to exercise and we will answer within the period the law requires — one month under UK and EU law.
You can delete most of your data yourself: deleting a project removes its media and lyrics immediately. For anything else, email support@typebeat.cc.
7. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Uploaded files are stored privately and are reachable only through short-lived links generated for you — nothing is publicly listable. Access is scoped per account, so one user’s media cannot be read by another.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If we discover a breach affecting your data we will tell you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.
8. Children
Typebeat is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
Our servers and the services listed above are located in the United States. Using Typebeat from elsewhere means your data is transferred there.
10. Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and make the change visible in the app before it takes effect.
