Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Typebeat for the use of Typebeat. Using the service means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.
1. What Typebeat does
Typebeat is a tool for making lyric videos. You supply a song, sync the words to it, choose backgrounds, and export a video. It is a tool: what you make with it, and whether you are allowed to make it, is your call and your responsibility.
2. Your account
You need an account to use the editor. Keep control of the email address you sign in with — anyone who can read that mailbox can reach your projects. You must be at least 13 years old.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, particularly one used for repeated infringement.
3. Rights in what you upload
You must hold the rights to everything you upload, or have permission to use it. That covers the audio, any footage or images you add, and the lyrics. Uploading a commercial track you do not own does not become lawful because a tool made it convenient.
You keep ownership of everything you upload and everything you export. We claim no rights over your work. You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the service: to store your files, process them to produce the video you asked for, and show them back to you.
We do not use your uploads to train models, and we do not publish or share your work.
4. Lyrics
Lyrics you look up through the app come from public third-party sources. They are provided to help you sync a song you already have the right to use. Song lyrics are usually protected by copyright, held by the writer or publisher, and nothing here transfers any right in them to you. Publishing a video containing lyrics you do not have permission to reproduce is your responsibility.
Looked-up lyrics are community-contributed and are often wrong or incomplete. Check them before you publish.
5. The background library
Clips in the shared library are provided for use in videos made with Typebeat. You may use them in your exports. You may not extract them from the service to redistribute or resell as stock footage.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Typebeat to:
- infringe copyright, trade marks, or anyone’s rights of personality or privacy;
- create content that is unlawful, harassing, or sexualises children;
- impersonate a person or organisation;
- attack the service — automated scraping, attempts to break access controls, or overloading rendering;
- reach other users’ files, or work around the limits of your account.
7. Copyright complaints
If you believe something on Typebeat infringes your copyright, email support@typebeat.cc with the work concerned, where it appears, and how to reach you. We remove infringing material and close the accounts of repeat infringers.
8. Availability
Typebeat is offered as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that rendering will always succeed, or that automatic lyric detection will be accurate — it is a machine estimate and frequently gets words wrong.
Keep your own copies of anything you care about. We take reasonable care, but do not treat this as a backup service.
9. Changes and ending
We may change these terms; material changes will be shown before they take effect, and continuing to use the service means accepting them.
You can stop at any time and delete your projects and account. We may end your access if you break these terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Typebeat is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for lost data. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the United States, and its courts have jurisdiction over disputes.
